EverdayFamily.com, previously PlanningFamily.com, changes their name as the website’s redesign and interactive community went live last week. The new design integrates a user management platform, provides more resources to parents, and creates forums that allow members to engage and connect with others in order to share advice and establish relationships.
MyEveryday, the new pregnancy and parenting community platform, is one of the exciting additions to EverydayFamily (EF). Chief Executive Officer Noah Anderson says MyEveryday, “organizes tools, checklists, journals, pictures and more into convenient and easy to use formats, as well as expanding other community based tools and content channels.
The user management platform enables EF members to join or login with existing social network accounts and share content from the site or their activities with friends on multiple social networks. EF provides incentives like badges, points, sweepstakes and rewards through game mechanics to members who share information and participate in the conversations.

Kids and Canines pairs students at the Dorothy Thomas School with assistance-dogs-in-training and trains them basic and advanced commands over a 1-2 year period. This is an exciting time for web design. With the advent of jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5, the internet has never been so rich and diverse. jQuery and HTML5 enable movies and interactive animations previously only capable in Flash. And CSS3 opens up a whole new world of design options. Curved corners? Drop shadows? Multiple backgrounds? All new fonts? Yep. All done on the fly. Of course, depending on the browser you use, these new elements will be limited. But it's nice to know that the future is so bright.
